
Multi Day Adventures
Expeditions are a great way to explore the more remote areas of Lewis and Harris. Some are lower level expeditions and others involve climbing the heights of the island.
You can pick 1 night trips or go further with a 2 night trips, it is up to you, its your adventure. Click on one of the Multi Days below to see more.

Caiteseal
and Ben Mhor
Caiteseal is of the most inaccessible mountains in the Hebrides. Found in the Pairc Peninsula, raised next to Loch Siophort, it is a truly a remote island adventure. Walking around bogs (hopfully), the lunar rock and Lochs, you will covering around 36km+ of distance over 2 days.

Croleatha and Luachair
Croleatha is in the Lewis side (in the parish of Uig) and the hamlet of Luachair on the North Harris side. These two now uninhabited villages are found next to Loch Resort.
Walk in and out are either using stalkers tracks or following the remote coast back. You do need to finish by going uphill before the final decent. With the remote location discover it's unique history.
25 - 38km over 2 days.

An Islanders Tale
A real challenge and scene of wild!
Hike the highest mountain on Lewis, Mealaisbhal, then venture across the Mhorsgail Moor into Harris to climb the Biggest Mountain in the Hebrides, An Cliseam. Depending on where you finish, it can be over 40km.
The walk starts in Uig (Lewis) and finish in Tarbet (Harris). This isn't a circular route.

The above route are just ideas for yourself. If you just simply want to be somewhere very scenic and wild camp, we can offer that too!

Please note: Discover Lewis and Harris, does not provide personal equipment.
You will need to supply walking boot, full waterproof and other personal walking equipment yourself and any others in your group will need to do the same.
You will be required to supply your own expedition equipment, from tents to gas stoves. Make sure that equipment is in good condition before booking.
When booking, a kit list will be sent out for peace of mind.
